Happy Chinese New Year (or Happy ‘Lunar New Year’ as how my Vietnamese friends would refer to it :)) to everyone who are celebrating it! Unfortunately, this will be the first time I won’t be back in Malaysia for it due to unavoidable circumstances. :( I guess I won’t be putting on weight this time around. :P

The year 2006 has been pretty eventful year for me I guess, with the biggest ‘event’ being the transition from full time studying to full time working. :-/ I had an enjoyable time while my parents and sis were around, unfortunately my bro stayed back to take care of my grandma.
Usual writeups would still be limited till I finish filling up the countless pages of PR application forms..

Anyway, have a good year ahead! :)

Got the results for my final semester at uni earlier today, and so I’m officially a graduate. :D

Just had my last exam paper of my undergrad degree last Wednesday, which I guess, unofficially signifies the end (if all goes according to plan..).

Starting from tomorrow, I’ll be starting work at QDC as a software engineer. :D I’ll be dealing mostly with Java development stuff besides getting to play with some toys.

Unfortunately, there goes my post-exam vacation and late-waking-up schedule. :( I suppose I’ll have a short break when my parents come over for my graduation ceremony just before Christmas. That said, I guess I’m thankful that I’ve got a job before I even graduate. :D

Hmm, that’s all for this entry, I guess. Will try to keep my blog and spherebox updated with new entries/writeups when I can. ;) Hopefully I don’t get too busy. :)

Ethics book for my final final exam of my undergraduate degree next week and the J2EE patterns book for my job which starts in slightly less than 2 weeks.

If you need any cure for insomnia, I strongly recommend you try to get hold of the ethics book..

My apologies if you’ve come here in hope of reading something decent, haven’t got much time as I’ve been working flat out on my final year software engineering project for the past 2 weeks or so which resulted in lack of sleep, proper food and getting sick. :(

The client handover presentation was 2 days ago which would’ve supposedly spelt the end of the project cycle, but alas, some rather critical bugs surfaced on the day itself. I’ve spent most of yesterday fixing those up (and more bugs that magically cropped up) and would probably spend some time tonight reverting changes to a ‘bugfix’ which was never a ‘bug’ in the first place and preparing the patch for delivery to the client tomorrow.

Once this is over, I will just have 1 last exam before I’m done with my undergraduate degree. If all goes well, I’ll be done with uni by the end of the year. Ah..

Took awhile for me to get moving on work again after another vacation (trip to Mt. Hotham :D). Updates to the blog should be coming in soon once I clear up the backlog on my project work..

Sorry if there were people expecting updates here. :P Have been away to Canberra for 4 days last week for the recent MASCA NCG 2006 and just when I was about to get going with stuff last night, my ISP decides to have an outage. It was a nice break though, being disconnected (although the amount of things that have piled up due to that is pretty scary).
